This is hands down the best mud pie you’ll ever have.
I am far from a good cook or baker. But everyone LOVES this and always asks me to make this for family events. This mud pie recipe is super quick and easy.
You don’t have to bake anything and you can make it in under 15 minutes. Which makes this such an easy Easter dessert recipe.
This recipe is also perfect for the littles to help you out. My son loved helping smash the Oreos.
You’ll need milk, cool whip, cream cheese, vanilla and chocolate pudding, and of course, Oreos! You’ll need one big bowl and a hand mixer or stand-up mixer.
Mud Pie Recipe
2 – 8 oz. Softened cream cheese
1 – 8 oz. Cool whip
2 – Small instant pudding (1 chocolate & 1 vanilla)
3 1/2 cups of milk
1 Package of Oreos
First, mix the cream cheese, vanilla and chocolate pudding, and milk. Make sure the cream cheese is softened. I add one cup of milk at a time and then blend so it doesn’t make a huge mess. Mix on high for about 2 minutes.
Next, add the cool whip and mix. Mix on high for about 1-2 minutes.
Then, have your little helper put the Oreos in a ziplock bag. Do one row at a time so you can layer the mix and Oreos. Use a roller or a meat tenderizer to smash the Oreos. You want chunks so don’t get too crazy smashing!
Lastly, pour some of the mix into a bowl and then pour a layer of Oreos. Repeat 2 more times. Keep refrigerated until served.
Mud pie is the best dessert for spring and summer. But I don’t think anyone would complain if you made it for Christmas. It’s a crowd-pleaser no matter what time of the year.
For Easter, I added Peeps and jelly beans on top. But you can get creative and add whatever you’d like to make it festive.
Let me know in the comments if you make this!!
