St. Patrick’s Day crafts are something fun to keep your kiddos occupied while being festive!
St. Patrick’s Day is very meaningful to me as I get older. My grandmother loved it and we always celebrated it for as long as I can remember. Now that she’s gone, it’s important to me to carry on with the tradition. So I wanted to do cute little St. Patrick’s Day crafts with my son!
So it’s time to bust out the craft box! Crafts can be fun and relaxing for both parents & children (slightly chaotic too!).
My son LOVES to play outside even when it’s 30 degrees out. Finding something to keep him occupied inside is a must. Crafts are one thing that actually keep him entertained.
These adorable St. Patrick’s Day crafts are simple and fun! And they definitely kept him occupied!
You only need a few items and you need zero artistic skills like me! You’ll need construction paper, a glue stick, a sharpie (or something to draw with) and scissors.
My son is almost 2 1/2 and I just got him his first pair of scissors. Let me tell you, he loved them! He helped cut all the small green pieces. He had so much fun!
So let’s get to our St. Patrick’s Day crafts!
Draw a big shamrock! White construction paper would be best for this but I didn’t have any so I just used green. Glue away and stick those small green pieces on and tada you’re done!
Easy peasy, right?
Next up is the pot of gold. Let me remind you, I have 0 artistic skills. So my pot isn’t the best but it’ll do!
Draw a big pot on black construction paper and cut it out. Glue the pot onto any color construction paper you’d like.
Next, cut out yellow circles for the coins. You can use something circular to trace so you have perfect circles. I did not & that’s why mine are lopsided, haha! Then just glue those on top of the pot! You could get fancy and add a rainbow and a little leprechaun but I like to keep it simple!
I hope these St. Patrick’s Day crafts were fun and easy for you and your little one!
