These Easter Basket Ideas are perfect for last minute buying!
Easter is right around the corner so it’s time to start thinking about Easter basket ideas!
My son loves anything to do with playing outside. He’s obsessed with tractors and construction vehicles. Lately, he’s been into dinosaurs too!
He basically has every single tractor and construction toy you could imagine. So for Easter, we’re keeping it simple. Or should I say the Easter Bunny is keeping it simple.
An Easter basket wouldn’t be complete without a little bit of candy. I added Reese’s (they’re his favorite) and some Crabby Patty’s.

Last year, I got him his first pair of Crocs. They are amazing for the summer time! He outgrew his pair from last year. So for Easter this year, he’s getting a blue pair. They match his bathing suites perfectly. They are so easy to rinse off when they get dirty and they can even be worn in small pools.
My son wants to do everything his daddy does outside. He loves the mower, leaf blower, weedwhacker, etc. He also LOVES bubbles. We even do bubbles inside (mom totally loves that-not). But honestly bubbles are a great way to entertain your child in any setting. I am so excited to see his face on Easter morning when he sees this awesome bubble leaf blower!
Books are the perfect Easter basket stuffer. They’re educational and toddlers love to look at the pictures. The Busy Little Tractor book is adorable and has vibrant pictures that all toddlers would love (especially ones who love tractors). Goodnight Tractor is great story to read right before you tuck your kiddo in for bed!
My son doesn’t have many dinosaur toys since he just started liking them. He only has a a few right now but he does love playing with them. He also likes to pretend they’re biting his finger, haha! His favorite dinosaur is a T-Rex. These dinosaurs are actually sitting on cars so they can be pulled back and take off. How stinkin’ cute is that!? It also makes them a lot more entertaining for a toddler.
Continuing with the dinosaur theme…
I want to teach my son shapes and numbers more. He’s getting pretty good at colors and the alphabet. This adorable writing tablet let’s you or your kiddo draw whatever you want. It’s perfect for them to just scribble on or mom and dad can teach them shapes, numbers, letters, etc.!
Every toddler needs a pair of sunglasses. It’s really hard to find toddler sunglasses in the store that aren’t a character or from a show. These sunglasses can go with any outfit and they’ll actually block the sun rays! You can also choose from many different colors.
Easter baskets don’t have to be complicated and the best part is you don’t have to buy a TON of stuff. One basket is definitely enough. You can also get cheap Easter basket stuffers from your local store. I ran to our Dollar General and got more bubbles, small little dinosaurs and some candy.
You can also add chalk, puzzles, small cars/trucks, blocks, flashcards, small stuffed toys and so much more.
Candy is totally optionally but I do really think it makes the basket more fun for kids if they don’t usually eat candy!
I hope you and your family have a beautiful Easter!
